Fabric Spreading | Types of Fabric Spreading

Fabric Spreading: Fabric spreading is the process where piles of fabric are spread at a specific length and width wise according to the garment marker measurement.

Types of Spreading-

     1. Flat Spreading

    2. Stepped Spreading

Requirement of Fabric Spreading

Correct Alignment: Correct Alignment of Fabric in both directions.

Elimination of fabric faults: During Spreading to avoid fabric faults, otherwise it creates problem in Patten Design.

Correct ply direction: All faces up, all faces down, face to face etc.

Correct ply tension: Ply tension must be uniform because high & low tension Create Problem.

Fabrics must be flat and free from any crinkle & crease: if any fabric is not flat it changes the dimension & creates the problem. 
 
Checks and stripes: should be matched.


Static Electricity: Generally man-made fibers are may increase the charge of electricity & it doesn't want to separate fabric ply easily. So, avoid this problem during Spreading.
